Do you know where your nearest defibrillator is and would you know how to use it? There are more than 30,000 deaths from out of hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year. But only 1 in 10 public access defibrillators are being used. Early CPR and defibrillation can be the difference between life and death. More needs to be done to encourage people to use these life saving devices. So ask yourself do you know where your nearest defib is and would you know how to use it? Come along to this session and get hands on practice using one on our first aid manikins. It’s simple and easy to use and not as scary as you may think.
