The Children’s Advent Farm Trust is a 10 acre paradise for children with difficult lives. Whether they live with learning disabilities, mobility limiting physical disabilities or have challenging family lives.
They can play, explore, learn fun outdoor stuff in the outdoor school, meet and feed the sheep, alpacas, donkeys, ducks and chickens, paint, make music, enjoy the sensory rooms and activities, enjoy the swings and slides, roundabouts and zip wire, and much more.
CAFT host residential and day visits from schools across the North West and North Wales, day visits and fully catered holidays for families and provide events and fun days throughout the year. Every year over 20,000 children visit the farm and the best bit is that it’s all free to everyone who visits. To provide all this they need to raise over £1 million each year and the help of an army of volunteers. Many of those volunteers are private individuals but they also have a lot of help from companies and many like come to them for their CSR or ESG activity days.
