Tenants at the Base on Dallam Lane were treated to free ice cream at their recent Summer Social.
Established by the Manfredi family in 1886, Lewis Bros, as they later became, sold ice cream across Lancashire and Cheshire before setting down roots on Bewsey Road in 1967. Their ice cream mix is sold all over the country, with customers all the way up in Cumbria and down to Cornwall. Their fleet of vans can also be seen across the north west and at local events such as Walking Day, Disability Awareness Day and the Classic Car Show.
Base tenants were especially keen on the Biscoff cone, although a cheeky Fab lolly was also spotted in the crowd. Current family member Stef Manfredi commented “We are really proud of our local heritage and know that Warringtonians love the unique taste of our ice cream. However, we’re keen to extend our reach to the corporate market so wanted to welcome Chamber members with a treat on us”.
The Base Business Development Manager Ali Handley added “We have a fantastic community here at the Base so it was great for everyone to come together for a bit of fun, food and ice cream”.
